A redesign that does not throw away what already works
Modernising an outdated or underperforming website while carefully protecting the content, functionality, branding, and search rankings you have already built.
The risk in a redesign is not the design
Most businesses putting off a redesign are not worried about how the new site will look. They are worried about what will quietly break: the pages that rank, the technical documents customers rely on, the forms that feed their sales process, the ten years of content nobody wants to rewrite.
Those fears are reasonable. A redesign done carelessly can wipe out search rankings overnight by changing every URL without redirects, and it happens more often than the industry admits.
We treat the existing site as an asset to be audited before it is replaced. What performs gets kept and improved. What does not gets fixed. And every URL that changes gets a redirect, so the equity you have built carries across.
What is included
Everything below is part of the quoted price. If something falls outside it, we tell you before the work starts – not on the invoice.
- An audit of your current site: pages, traffic, rankings, and functionality
- Identification of the content and pages genuinely worth preserving
- A new structure based on what your customers actually look for
- Modern, responsive design consistent with your existing branding
- Careful migration of existing technical content and documents
- A full URL map with 301 redirects for every page that moves
- Metadata, heading structure, and image alt text carried across correctly
- Post-launch indexing checks in Google Search Console
- Analytics reconnected so you can compare before and after
- A staged launch with your current site live until the new one is approved
Who this is for
Sites five or more years old
Still functional, but visibly dated and awkward on modern phones.
Sites that rank but do not convert
The traffic arrives and then leaves without contacting you.
Sites with content worth saving
Years of technical pages, documents, or product information you cannot afford to lose.
How it works
Audit
We review your structure, content, traffic, and rankings, and record what must survive.
Plan
We agree in writing what happens to every page: kept, merged, rewritten, or retired.
Rebuild
The new site is built on staging while your current site stays live and untouched.
Migrate
We launch with redirects in place, then verify indexing in Search Console.
Common questions about website redesign
Not if the migration is handled properly. Rankings are lost when URLs change without redirects, when page content is thinned out, or when metadata is dropped in the rebuild. We map every existing URL to its new destination, put 301 redirects in place, carry over titles and descriptions, and verify indexing after launch.
What we will not do is promise your rankings will improve. That depends on factors outside a redesign, and anyone guaranteeing it is guessing.
Yes, and usually you should. Technical specifications, product details, and established pages often represent years of accumulated knowledge. We audit what you have, keep what earns its place, and reorganise it so people can actually find it.
No. A redesign and a rebrand are separate projects. If your logo and colours still work, we design within them. If we think something is genuinely holding you back, we will raise it – as a recommendation, not a condition.
It will not be. The new site is built on a separate staging environment. Your existing site stays live and fully functional until the moment we switch over, which takes minutes and is scheduled when it suits you.
